Moving to Secondary School

At the Education Learning Trust we believe that helping all children approach changes in their life with confidence and strength is essential in helping them achieve their true potential.

We also feel that the transition for primary to secondary school is an exciting, enthralling and wonderful journey that most children, parents and families find fulfilling and enjoyable.

However, we also know that this period of change can present challenges that may affect the academic, social and emotional stability of all those involved and we are fully committed to supporting our communities at these times.

It is our belief that successful transition is underpinned by three main pillars of strength and rests on the foundations of strong partnerships between primary and secondary schools.
